<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system and an information providing method, capable of diversifying a providing mode of personal information. <P>SOLUTION: In this information providing system 1, an identification code received by a mobile terminal 20 is transferred to a personal information server 40, and the personal information server 40 determines an item to be extracted from personal information by use of the identification code.
