PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sinkable float for fishing, solving the problem that a conventional float is subject to resistance in a rapid or violent stream, and when such a float is subject to resistance on fishline's movement stop, a transverse shaking and/or tail shaking occur(s) or a floating-up occurs inresistibly to stream. SOLUTION: The sinkable float for fishing is such that, for the purpose of making a float sinkable, several kinds of diving plates differing in angle from each other are prepared, and in the case of rapid or violent stream, a diving plate suitable to the situation is chosen and attached to the float to sink it at the plate's angle to ensure searching shelves. Besides, owing to providing a flat surface B on the top of the float, tide resistance is applied onto the flat surface B to effect pressing the float, thus preventing the float from floating up. Because of being settled on the upper layer of stream, the float can be used as it is. Furthermore, when a diving plate is attached onto the float in accordance with the situation of tide, thanks to the flat surface B, the function of smoothly assisting the float's diving is afforded.
