An Internet phone system and a bell sound setup method of an Internet phone are provided to stream/download various audio files on the Internet even without storing audio files for bell sounds in the Internet phone, thereby using the downloaded files as bell sounds. If a user wants to change a bell sound(S1), an internal control program allows the user to select a desired streaming server address, and stores the selected address as a bell sound(S2). If a call is received(S3), the address set to the bell sound is read from a memory for automatic connection(S4). An audio streamed/reproduced from a connected streaming server is outputted to a speaker(S5). If a hook-off state is sensed(S6), Internet connection is released while audio outputting is interrupted(S7).
