A cooking apparatus is provided to apply a high voltage current so that a high voltage transformer generating a strong electromagnetic field is away from a magnetron. A cooking apparatus includes a cooking space, a high voltage transformer(450), and a magnetron. The high voltage transformer is installed at one side of a rear portion of the cooking space. The magnetron is installed in opposite to the high voltage transformer at the rear portion of the cooking space. A high voltage capacitor(460) is provided at the same side as that of the magnetron. Connectors(445,455,465) are positioned at an outer side of the magnetron. The connector is able to connect a wire applying a current from the high voltage transformer to the magnetron.
