THREE-DIMENSIONAL CELL CULTURE CARRIER AND CELL CULTURE METHOD USING THE SAME

Disclosed is a three-dimensional cell culture carrier comprising a fibrous structure having a three-dimensional space for culturing a cell therein. The fibrous structure is composed of multiple fibers intertangled with one another. Each of the fibers to be used in the fibrous structure is composed of a material which, when molded into an article having a thickness of 3 mm, has a visible light transmittance of 40% or more (preferably 50% or more). As an example, the fibers may be glass fibers. Each of the fibers has an aspect ratio of 1 or more and a fiber diameter ranging from 100 to 700 µm inclusive.
