PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dial plate for a measuring instrument device giving novelty to an occupant of a movable body and enhancing design artistry. SOLUTION: This dial plate 6a is formed by layering a ground plate 21, a design color layer 22, a dial-plate colored layer 25, and a transparent protective layer 26, in order. The colored layer 25 includes a first colored layer 23 of a prescribed color superposed on the color layer 22 excepting portions 22a constituting letters/graduations 9a for vehicle speed display, and a second colored layer 24 of a second color superposed on the colored layer 23 and of brightness higher than that of the prescribed color. Further, the protective layer 26 comprises a projecting part 26b superposed on the colored layer 24 and projecting on the occupant compartment side, and a recessed part 26a superposed on a portion 23a of the colored layer 23 excepting portions with the colored layer 24 superposed thereon and having an outer surface disposed closer to the ground plate 21 than is to the projecting part 26b.
