According to the present invention, a method for controlling an output of a long period or a short period in an energy storage system which is a system for storing new and renewable energy including wind power and solar heat and includes a short period energy storage system (ESS) and a long period ESS comprises: a step of controlling an output of the long period ESS in accordance with a current state of charge (SOC) of the short period ESS if a current SOC which is a current charging state of the long period ESS is between a predetermined upper limit SOC and lower limit SOC; a step of controlling the long period ESS to discharge in accordance with a predetermined discharging time if the current SOC of the long period ESS is higher than or equal to the upper limit SOC; and a step of controlling the long period ESS to charge in accordance with a predetermined charging time if the current SOC of the long period ESS is lower than or equal to the lower limit SOC. According to the present invention, an output change rate of new and renewable energy is suppressed and a stable output is provided in a new and renewable energy storage system to prevent an abrupt change of the system. |
