Provided is an ignition device for an internal combustion engine having excellent ignitability and combustion stability. This ignition device is characterized in that, in order to supply energy from an ignition coil (21) to a spark plug (3) via an ignition coil (22), a secondary coil end part (32a) of the ignition coil (21), which is the high-voltage side of a high voltage generated when the primary current of the ignition coil (21) is supplied/shut off by a semiconductor switch (34), is connected to a secondary coil end part (42b) of the ignition coil (22), which is the low-voltage side of the high voltage generated when the primary current of the ignition coil (22) is supplied/shut off by a semiconductor switch (43), and the ignition coil (21) and the ignition coil (22) are housed in the coil accommodation part of a case, said case being filled with a molding resin. |
