PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crucible for growing a single crystal capable of suppressing generation of fastening between a seed crystal and the crucible during production of the single crystal.SOLUTION: There is provided a crucible for growing a single crystal used when growing the single crystal by installing a seed crystal on a bottom part in the crucible, and by solidifying a raw material melt from the seed crystal side under a temperature gradient in which the temperature is heightened gradually from the bottom part of the crucible toward the upper side. In the crucible for growing the single crystal, the internal bottom surface of the crucible has a center region including the center of the internal bottom surface of the crucible, and a recessed region comprising a groove formed along the inner periphery of the crucible.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
