This drive system (1) for an automotive vehicle comprises an electric motor (2a) driving a driveshaft (2b), a driven shaft (4) bearing wheels and a coupling device (3) able to adopt at least a first position in which the driveshaft and the driven shaft are coupled and at least a second position in which the driveshaft and the driven shaft are uncoupled. The system further comprises a means of controlling the coupling device and a computer (7) able to instruct the control means and comprising a first module able to receive signals relating to vehicle operating parameters, and a second module able to instruct the electric motor such that the said motor imposes a zero torque on the wheels according to the vehicle operating parameters. |
