<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet inspection device capable of suppressing contamination of standard plate, accurately conveying paper sheets to a desired inspection position for improvement in inspection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The paper sheet inspection device includes a conveyance mechanism for conveying paper sheets or the like through an inspection position, a guide member 50 having guide faces 52a and 52c facing to a paper sheet at an inspection position, the standard plate 70 provided on the guide member having a reflecting surface exposed to the guide faces at the inspection position, an air supply unit for injecting air to flow along the reflecting surface from the side of the standard plate to form air curtain between the standard plate and the paper sheet, a light source for radiating inspection light towards the reflecting surface of the standard plate 70, and an optical receiver for receiving the inspection light reflected on the reflecting surface of the standard plate and the inspection light reflected on the front face of the paper sheet at the inspection position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
