METHOD FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF DIABETES MELLITUS

A method for prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus in the experiment provides for an oral administration of a carbohydrate-containing bioactive additive containing pectin. Dietary fibers of beet pulp or composition containing beet pulp dietary fibers and lactic acid bacilli, or composition containing beet pulp dietary fibers, lactic acid bacilli and bifidus bacteria are used as bioactive additive, and the additive is administered before meal or during meals in quantity of 5-30 % of the daily ration.
