<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when a spur is cleaned by a spur cleaning roller being pressed against the spur, dust such as ink adhering to a cutting edge is accumulated on a blade bottom and transferred to a recording medium to generate a large spur trace. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus includes: a head 411 which forms an image; a feeding mechanism 405 for feeding paper 403; an ejector 408 which has the spur 439 ejecting the paper 403 on which the image has been formed; and a spur cleaning mechanism 440 for cleaning the spur 439.
