X-ray diffractometer for screening of a combinatiorial library

X-ray optical system, for a combinatory screening of samples in a library (3) on a flat plate (8), has an X-ray transmitter (1) to direct an X-ray beam (2) at a sample with a detector (7) to receive the reflected or scattered beams (6). The sample plate can be rotated around an axis (9) parallel to the z-direction, and around a further axis (10) through the x-y plane.
