<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which has superior fixability at low temperature and prevents occurrence of such problems as fogging, dropping and lowering of concentration even in long-term use in a high temperature and high humidity environment, and to provide an image forming method, a process cartridge and a developing unit using the toner. <P>SOLUTION: The toner comprises at least toner particles containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, a resin containing sulfur atoms and a wax, and fine silica powder and fine titanium oxide powder added to the toner particles, wherein the fine titanium oxide powder has a primary particle diameter of 35-500 nm and has been hydrophobed.
