<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of further improving the opening/closing operability of an inversion conveyance unit 60. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a housing 50 supporting the inversion conveyance unit 60 composing a door; a first door section 61 which is opened or closed relative to the housing 50 by being rotated around a first rotatory shaft 59 attached to the housing 50; and a second door section 62 which is exposed when the first door section 61 is opened relative to the housing 50, and which is opened or closed relative to the first door section 61 by being rotated around a second rotatory shaft 63 attached to the first door section. In the image forming apparatus, a smooth projecting curved face S is formed on a fixing device 20 detachably held in the housing 50. The smooth projecting curved face S is designed such that when the first door section 61 is closed relative to the housing 50 with the second door section 62 kept opened relative to the first door section 61, the second door section 62 brought into contact with the surface of the smooth projecting surface face S is pushed back in the rotating direction of the second rotatory shaft 63 while the second door section 62 is slid over the surface of the curved face S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
