<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery, in which swelling can be suppressed, while reduction of the capacity is suppressed, even under high temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: A wound-round electrode body 20, in which an anode 21 and a cathode 22 are laminated via a separator 23 and an electrolyte 24, and wound around is housed in the inside of a film-shaped outer packaging member 30. The electrolyte 24 contains a sulfur compound, such as LiCF<SB>3</SB>SO<SB>3</SB>, LiN(CF<SB>3</SB>SO<SB>2</SB>)<SB>2</SB>, or dimethyl sulfoxides, in which the oxidation electric potential is lower than the electric potential of the anode 21 when it is fully charged.
