A sewing apparatus is provided to automatically apply a control parameter in response to the thickness of fabrics compressed continuously during the sewing work. The sewing apparatus includes a C-shaped housing(3). The housing includes a base plate(4) and an upper arm(5). In order to complete the C-shape, a standard(6) integrally forms the base plate and the arm. An arm shaft is received in the arm driven by a motor. Upper and lower movement of a needle bar(8) having a sewing needle(9) leads the rotation of the arm shaft. The arm shaft is connected with an eccentric disc. A connection rod is connected with the eccentric disc and the rod is segmented by a link(12).
