PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting apparatus which can maintain the cleaning capability while an adjoining wiper blade is prevented from being contaminated with a scattering liquid after the liquid stuck to a wiper blade is slid and scraped by a blade cleaner, and to provide a method for maintenance of a liquid jetting head. SOLUTION: The liquid jetting apparatus comprises a plurality of the liquid jetting heads 10 which jet liquid droplets from nozzles, a plurality of the wiper blades 32 which have an elasticity and slide and scrape nozzle forming faces of the liquid jetting heads 10, the blade cleaner 33 which removes the liquid stuck to the wiper blades 32, a cleaning means which removes the liquid stuck to the wiper blades 32 by making the blade cleaner 33 and the wiper blades 32 slide and scrape against each other, and a wiper blade moving means which independently moves each of a plurality of the wiper blades 32 to a sliding and scraping position where the wiper blade can slide and scrape the nozzle forming face, and to a retreat position where the wiper blade is refrained from coming into contact with the liquid jetting head 10.
