PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can simply and economically prevent a color shift in a recording result at the beginning when a roll of paper is set in the printer. SOLUTION: The printer comprises a plurality of recording units 7 equipped with thermal heads 9 and ink ribbons 8, a platen roller 2 which has a peripheral face to which a plurality of the recording units 7 are opposed and can be rotatably driven, and a longitudinal recording medium 3 which is delivered out from the roll of paper 4 set most upstream of a conveying route and can be conveyed by the rotation of the platen roller 2. An ink layer of the ink ribbon 8Y is transferred to the recording medium 3 on the basis of printing data sequentially from the recording unit 7Y set at the upstream side in the conveyance route of the recording medium 3, whereby images are recorded overlapping. The recording result of a predetermined recording length is thus obtained. An electrification period of the thermal head 9 is adjusted on the basis of the number of the recording paper of the images at each of the recording units 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
