The invention relates to a digital device for positioning fixed bracket-type apparatus on the lingual and vestibular surface of teeth, during orthodontic treatment. According to the invention, the device comprises a base support plate (1) coupled integrally with a support arm (5) penetrated by a bolt (6) which supports another arm (3) and at the same time permits rotation thereof, said arm having mounted at one of its extremities some reference elements defining the position of a bracket (A) on the external and internal surface of a tooth (B), respectively, the reference position for applying the bracket, as measured from the tooth apex, being taken over by a displacement transducer (10) and displayed on a digital display device (11).
