<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-pressure fuel supply pump capable of raising a pressure while saving power at the time of starting an engine. <P>SOLUTION: A driving part of an electromagnetic driving type intake valve and an intake valve body are provided integrally so that a spring force is applied to the valve opening direction at the time electric power is not supplied to a coil. At the time of starting the engine, a weak current is supplied continuously to the coil so as to generate a magnetic force balancing with the spring force in the valve closing direction. Thereby, the intake valve can be switched by the fluid force of a fuel for raising the pressure with a small current consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
