SCLERAL BUCKLING BAND AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME

摘要

A scleral buckle band for eye surgery and a method for making it, wherein the scleral buckle band comprises a thin cylindrical structure constructed by a biocompatible material which is decomposable and absorbable in a human body. The scleral buckle band would not cause immunoreaction and can be absorbed by the human body after it is implanted into the human body. The scleral buckle band need not to be taken out by reoperation after recovery. The decomposition rate of the scleral buckle band in the human body can be controlled depending on different manufacture methods so as to conform to different recovery rates of patients. In addition, the scleral buckle band contains various kinds of medication, such that it can release various kinds of specific medication according to the time after being implanted into the human body.
