PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device and an image forming device for controlling the aligning operation based on the time required for aligning recording materials. SOLUTION: The post-processing device comprises a stacking unit 006 for receiving and stacking a plurality of conveyed recording materials P with images formed thereon, an inlet sensor 001 for detecting the passage of the recording material P through the predetermined position, an alignment means for aligning the positions by applying the alignment force to the plurality of recording materials P stacked on the stacking unit 006, a stack sensor 002 for detecting completion of the alignment of the recording materials P, and a control means 003 which determines whether or not the elapsed time exceeds the reference time stored in advance based on the elapsed time after the inlet sensor 001 detects the recording material P and before the stack sensor 002 detects completion of the alignment, and increases the applying amount of the alignment force from the recording material P to be stacked next if the elapsed time exceeds the reference time.
