Simultaneous programming of selected tags

An apparatus and method for simultaneous programming of data to individually addressed Tags. Tags contain a being addressed indicator that allows for processing of simultaneous programming commands. Specified Tags are individually pre-addressed to receive simultaneous programming. Tag data is programmed simultaneously for all Tags in a specified group of Tags. Data is individually verified for each specified Tag in the group of Tags.

1. An apparatus to identify and program tags, the apparatus comprising:
a transmitter; a receiver; and a microprocessor configured to:
identify a plurality of tags to receive a first set of commands and a second set of commands by respective unique tag identifiers,transmit the first set of commands to the identified plurality of tags, wherein the first set of commands include commands to set an addressed state indicator in each of the identified plurality of tags to receive the second set of commands, andtransmit the second set of commands to the plurality of tags having the addressed state indicator that has been set, wherein the second set of commands include a command that sets a time interval for the plurality of tags to receive a power to simultaneously program data, wherein the first set of commands are to maintain an addressable state of the at least one of the tags while promoting other one or more of the tags to the addressable state in which the data are programmed into the plurality of tags simultaneously.
