PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharger of an internal combustion engine, capable of reducing an amount of deposit accumulating on intake passage components, especially a diffuser portion by lowering an air temperature at a stage prior to inflow of air to the diffuser portion.SOLUTION: A supercharger includes: a compressor impeller blade 65; a shroud portion 63a; a diffuser portion 63b; and a coolant channel portion 63d, and further includes a heat insulation portion 63e having a heat insulation function in a part of heat transfer path between the diffuser portion 63b and the coolant channel 63d so that a heating value is reduced which is transferred from the diffuser portion to the coolant channel portion. As a result, the coolant channel portion 63d hardly absorbs heat from a wall surface of the diffuser portion 63b, and the shroud portion 63a thereby can be cooled efficiently. Accordingly, oil in oil mist particles evaporates and the particles hardly change into highly adhesive particles, and deposit adhesion and accumulation to/on the diffuser portion 63b can be reduced. |
