The washing machine (100) also comprises: a filter case (83) which is connected to the drainpipe (64) and has a lint filter (65) contained therein for collecting lint; a drain pump (63) which is in communication with the filter case (83) and drains the washing water inside the water tank (42); and a drain hose (66) which is disposed in communication with the drain pump (63). The drain hose (66) is raised at some point thereof with the maximum raised height (h2) being higher than the maximum water level (h1) during a washing step and a rinsing step, and the height (h3) of the sensor (67).
