Provided is a gas barrier film having excellent durability in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. The gas barrier film has a layer (A) derived from polysilazane obtained by applying coating liquid containing polysilazane onto a resin substrate and drying the same, and a layer (B) being in contact with the layer (A) and containing a transition metal compound, in this order. The gas barrier film further has the layer (A) derived from polysilazane obtained by applying coating liquid containing polysilazane and drying the same, or has the layer (B) containing a transition metal compound, so that the layer (A), layer (B), and layer (A) are arranged in this order or are arranged in the order of the layer (B), layer (A), and layer (B). |
