PURPOSE: A device for controlling the surface pressure of a fuel cell stack is provided to fasten a stack by an end plate and a fastening band to which the swelling pressure of an inflator is applied and to enhance energy utilization efficiency inside vehicles. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the surface pressure of a fuel cell stack comprises: a lower end plate which is closely fixed to one end of a fuel cell stack(10); an upper end plate(12) applying tightening surface pressure through the swelling force of an inflator(24); fastening bands(40) fastening the stack and upper and lower end plates; a surface pressure sensor(50) measuring the surface pressure applied by the upper end plate; a fluid pressure supply unit; and a controller(52) applying or cutting off the fluid pressure from the fluid pressure supply unit. |
