PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance roll device for clamping and transferring a metal plate by upper and lower rolls such that the two end parts of the roll barrel of at least one of the upper and lower rolls contact with the plate surface of the metal plate to be transferred, wherein the occurrence of a scratch due to the rolls is prevented.SOLUTION: In rolls to contact with the plate surface of a metal plate to be transported by the two end parts of a roll barrel, the portion of the two end sides of that roll barrel is made into a hollow structure opened in a roll barrel end face. When the metal plate is clamped and transported, the two end parts of the roll barrel become liable to flatten and deform, and the roll face pressure at the metal plate portion, at which the two end parts of the roll barrel contact, does not become high so that the metal plate surface can be prevented from being scratched by the two end parts of the roll barrel. |
