PURPOSE: A food waste bin is provided to reduce odor caused by sewage because the sewage separated from food waste is discharged through a discharge pipe. CONSTITUTION: A food waste bin includes a main body(10), a insertion hopper(13), a spray pipe, a water pressure witch, and a rail(18). An insertion hole(11) is formed in the upper part of the main body and a discharge hole(12) having an opening and closing door(12a) is formed in the lower part. The insertion hopper is installed in the inner lower part of the insertion hole of the main body and has a switch which is operated by load. The spray pipe is connected with a water pipe and the water pressure switch is installed in a ceiling of the main body and opens and closes the spray pipe with a sensor for detecting insertion of the food waste. The rail is formed in the lower part of the insertion hopper. A flange(17b) is placed on the rail and formed in the upper part of a collecting container(17) of which lower part is made by a mesh(17a). The lower part of the collecting container has a discharge hopper(19) for discharging the sewage and a drainpipe connected with a sewage disposal tank is connected to the discharge hopper. |
