PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a high-quality printing process at high speed by correcting original print data with the use of a voltage drop correction amount obtained according to a specific expression in a thermal printer having a thermal head including N+1 heat-generating resistance bodies linearly. SOLUTION: In a thermal printer having a total number N+1 of heat- generating resistance bodies to be used for printing pickup images of a digital camera, a data row-forming means for forming a data row wherein total print data of one line are arranged according to gradation values is installed. Supposing that the formed data rows are T0, T1..., Tn..., TN in an order from a smaller gradation value and F, is an optional constant, a voltage drop correction amountαn (n>=1) to the Tn is operated according to an expression. The gradation values of the print data are corrected on the basis of the voltage drop correction amountαn obtained from the operation. Accordingly, a voltage drop correction is carried out at a high speed, enabling high-speed printing.
