<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge a required image forming surface easily without complicating the apparatus even when an image is formed on a rear sheet having one used side. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a means for judging whether a recording sheet being fed to an image forming section A is a rear sheet or not, and a means for printing additional information indicative of used side on the used side of the recording sheet based on the judgement results wherein the additional information printing means is provided in a post-processing means, e.g. a finisher 300. The number of pages corresponding to lattice-like ruled lines or the number of copies of an image being formed is printed while being reversed laterally symmetrically on the used side of the rear sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
