<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which prevents a failure in image formation processing by preventing the execution of an instruction to start an image formation operation by an auxiliary printing start instructing means when the movement of an original on an original platen is detected within a prescribed period of time after a printing processing start instruction from the auxiliary printing start instructing means (for example, a foot switch) is inputted. <P>SOLUTION: After a scanner scans the original on the original platen, an obtained image is digitized and inputted to an image processing part (S4). The digitized original image data is compared with original image data which is stored in a prescribed storage part of an image processing part, a semiconductor memory, etc., and inputted to the image processing part last time (S5). If there is a difference between the both pieces of original image data, printing is not performed because the original on the original platen is regarded as moving.
