<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating illumination light whereby spectral properties or color properties can easily be controlled and can be established in a reliable manner in lighting system used for an projecting engine. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system includes: a light combining section being adapted for receiving and combining or overlapping first and second primary illumination light beams L11, L12 or part or a derivative thereof, and a light condensing, integrating and redirecting section 20 being adapted for redirecting light. The light combining section 15 and the light condensing, integrating and redirecting section 20 are at least partly arranged in a spatially combined, mingled, integrated and/or overlapped manner with respect to each other. Thereby from the first and second primary illumination light beams L11, L12, the combined, condensed, integrated, and redirected primary illumination light (CL1) can be obtained as secondary illumination light L2 having LED-controlled spectral properties and an essentially uniformized spatial intensity distribution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
