<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost of a rider ring while securing wear resistance characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The rider ring 27 attached to a piston 17 of a horizontal reciprocating compressor A has a double structure composed of an upper ring 29 formed of comparatively inexpensive polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or the like, and a lower ring 31 formed of comparatively expensive engineering plastic or the like which is higher than the upper ring 29 in the wear resistance characteristics. In the upper ring 29, one annular member 33 is divided into two pieces and one of them is used for the upper ring, and in the lower ring 31, the other annular member 35 is divided into two pieces and one of them is used for the lower ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
