This invention provides an ink extraction apparatus that is capable of boring a hole in an ink can by a simple means and of preventing leakage of ink when ink is extracted from the ink can. The ink extraction apparatus 1 comprises a base 8 having an opening portion 8a; an annular sealing member of the bottom of the can 9 provided around the exterior of the opening portion 8a; a cylindrical member 10 whose bottom end makes contact with the bottom of an ink can 3 positioned on the base 8; a cylindrical attachment member 11 provided with a cylindrical member 10, an advancing member 12 which is provided to be capable of advancing or retracting within the cylindrical member 10 while the bottom end of the cylindrical member 10 is located between the opening portion 8a on the base 8 and the annular sealing member 9, and which has a projection 12a for making a hole 4 in the bottom of the ink can 3 at a front end thereof; a plurality of rod-like members 17 connected to the connecting member 2; a connecting member 12 for connecting the other ends of the plural rod-like members 17, and a lowering means D which lowers the connecting member 18 toward the opening portion 8a.
