PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SR motor drive device and a motor system that improve motor efficiency.SOLUTION: The motor drive device includes: power terminals Pe for connection to a power supply; connection terminals Pa, Pb for connection, respectively, to an exciting coil 31 and a second system exciting coil 32 of a two-phase switched reluctance motor having a difference between phases of periodic changes of inductances La, Lb by the exciting coil 31 and the exciting coil 32 with a rotational angle; and a drive control section 510 including a plurality of switching elements a1-c2 between the power terminals Pe and the connection terminals Pa, Pb, and configured to form a first path L1 for feeding only the exciting coil 31 via the connection terminals Pa from the power terminals Pe, then form a second path L2 for feeding both the exciting coil 31 and the exciting coil 32 via the connection terminals Pa, Pb from the power terminals Pe, and next form a third path L3 for feeding only the second system exciting coil via the connection terminals Pb from the power terminals Pe. |
