MULTICOLOR THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTER, PRINTING METHOD IN MULTICOLOR THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTER, AND PRINTED MATTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of stage unevenness in a multicolor thermal transfer printer.

SOLUTION: In the printing method in the multicolor thermal transfer printer in which a plurality of thermal transfer units for printing an image of a plurality of color inks are prepared, and in which the color inks of respective colors are transferred to be piled on a base material, the thermal transfer unit, equipped with a thermal head for printing a ground color prints an image wherein a printing density of one line in a scan direction of the thermal head continuously increases to a non printing part before a printing start end of a printing part on the base material in which the ground color is printed, prints an image wherein the printing density of one line in the scan direction of the thermal head continuously decreases to a non printing part downstream from a printing terminal end of the printing part.
