PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier plastic molding excellent in gas barrier properties and transparency, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A gas barrier plastic molding 90 comprises a plastic molding 91 and a gas barrier thin film 92 provided on the surface of the plastic molding 91. The gas barrier thin film 92 contains silicon (Si), carbon (C) and oxygen (O) as a constituent element and has a region having a main peak observed at peak appearance positions of the binding energy of Si-C when an X ray electronic spectroscopic analysis is conducted on the condition (1).
