PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ball-point pens making good handwriting without line splitting compatible with an excellent feeling of writing without causing sticking drips of the ink to the pen point or dripping thereof onto a paper surface. SOLUTION: The ink composition for the ball-point pens comprises a pigment, an organic solvent, a dispersing agent, hydroxypropyl cellulose and a polyvinyl butyral having≥100,000 molecular weight.
