1. A method of treating or preventing an eye disease in a subject in need thereof, comprising:
(a) identifying a subject with an eye disease or at risk of having the eye disease or disorder, comprising measuring the thickness of one or more retinal layers selected from ganglion cell layer (GCL), outer nuclear layer (ONL), and inner-segment (IS); and (b) administering to said subject in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of an agent for inhibiting the activity or expression of the Lp-PLA2 protein.
