PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic high water absorptive fiber capable of production by melting spinning, being continuous fiber without reducing water absorbing power even when a salt exists, good in handleability and capable of being used even in an industrial material application.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermoplastic high water absorptive fiber constituted by a resin obtained by mixing a thermoplastic water absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin and a thermoplastic water non-absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin. Also there is provided a thermoplastic high water absorptive fiber which is a core-sheath type composite fiber where a core part is constituted by the thermoplastic water non-absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin and a sheath part is constituted by a resin obtained by mixing the thermoplastic water absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin and the thermoplastic water non-absorptive polyurethane elastomer resin.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
