<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery showing excellent storage characteristics regardless of the SOC during storage. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery comprises the step of obtaining a positive electrode material by mixing lithium manganate LiMn<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>and a secondary active material which releases and intercalates Li at a higher potential than LiMn<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, and the mixing ratio of the LiMn<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>and the secondary active material is selected so that the SOC causing a minimum percentage of capacity preservation of a positive electrode after storage under high temperature conditions is smaller than the SOC corresponding to the percentage at an irreversible capacity of the battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
