PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve corrosion resistance by treating the respective surfaces of hydrogen storage alloy powder, its compact and electrode and to improve durability in the long-term charge-and-discharge cycle or occlusion-and-release cycle in the case of use for a hydrogen occlusion body or a secondary battery. SOLUTION: The surface of the hydrogen storage alloy powder, its compact or electrode is treated with nonaqueous liquid of polystyrene, cellulose derivatives, SBR(styrene-butadiene rubber), NBR(nitrile-butadiene rubber), etc., having alkali resistance and insolubility in water, followed by drying. |
