<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a multistream packet transfer system by way of a virtual pipe established in the inside of a physical link. <P>SOLUTION: An interface is disclosed which is provided with an adjustable high-speed main link configured so as to carry a plurality of multimedia data packets from a multimedia source device to a multimedia sink device. Moreover, a bi-directional auxiliary channel configured so as to provide a plurality of supporting functions useful for support for main link setup and for the operation of the main link such as periodically sending the status check of the multimedia display device to the multimedia source device, and the robust operation of the display interface over various main link conditions by a closed loop created by combining the adjustable and high-speed main link with a very highly reliable auxiliary channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
