<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction method of a used ion-exchange resin catalyst which enables safe processing of a catalyst used for preparing bisphenol A, and shortening of the amount of cleaning water, cleaning time, and extraction time required for cleaning the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: In the extraction method of the used ion-exchange resin catalyst, the ion-exchange resin catalyst used for preparing bisphenol A is subjected to the following processes (A), (B), and (C), then the catalyst is extracted. The process (A) substitutes a reaction liquid in a fixed-bed reactor by phenol, passes water therethrough, and substitutes the phenol with water. The process (B) temporarily stops the passing water, intermittently bubbling inert gas from the lower part of the fixed-bed reactor to agitate the catalyst and water so as to clean the catalyst, then passes the water again therethrough. The process (C) passes the inert gas or air from the upper part of the fixed-bed reactor, so as to extract the waste cleaning water from the lower part, and evaporate and remove the water in the catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
