<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device for stabilizing driving of a motor even when being switched from a non-steering state to a steering state. <P>SOLUTION: This power steering device comprises a hydraulic power cylinder for assisting a steering force of a steering mechanism, a hydraulic pump for supplying a hydraulic pressure driving the hydraulic power cylinder, a motor driving the hydraulic pump, a power source, and a control unit controlling outputs of the motor. The control unit is configured to control an assist steering force of the hydraulic power cylinder by controlling the power supplied from the power source to the motor based on a steering force acting on the steering mechanism and a steering direction. The power source comprises a thin belt-like positive electrode plate, a thin belt-like negative electrode plate, and a belt-like separator arranged between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate.
