<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation type ultraviolet curable ink set which does not cause polymerization inhibition due to oxygen, can reduce unreacted monomer, and has excellent storage stability as well, and an image recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The ultraviolet curable ink set is composed of an ink composition A containing at least a cation polymerizable compound and an ink composition containing at least a photoacid generator, and any one of them preferably contains a coloring material and the ink set may contain a plurality of the ink compositions containing a coloring material. The ultraviolet curable ink set can be used in the image recording method by attaching the ink composition A and the ink composition B at the same position on a recording medium and subjecting the ink compositions A and B to ultraviolet exposure or mixing the ink composition A with the ink composition B, attaching the mixture on the recording medium, and subjecting the mixture to ultraviolet exposure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
