<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-based ink low in toxicity to living body, high in ink stability, having good hue, and capable of giving printed images with high fastness to light and ambient active gas, especially ozone gas. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink contains at least one dye of the general formula (1): A<SB>1</SB>-N=N-A<SB>2</SB>-N=N-A<SB>3</SB>[wherein, A<SB>1</SB>, A<SB>2</SB>and A<SB>3</SB>are each a (substituted) aromatic group or heterocyclic group, wherein the ClogP of a diamino compound of the general formula (2):H<SB>2</SB>N-A<SB>2</SB>-NH<SB>2</SB>(wherein, A<SB>2</SB>means the same as A<SB>2</SB>defined in the general formula (1)) formed when the azo group in the disazo dye of the general formula (1) is reductively split is 2.0 or less]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
